Property is lovely, but service not as good as before closing

We enjoyed our room however the thirdhome listing said a jacuzzi would be located on the balcony and we were not provided a jacuzzi. The actual property is lovely but customer service has not been as great as it was before they closed. They are probably working out issues with the re-opening. ”

Amazing resort.

Solaz is a 5 star resort; however, I only gave it 4 stars due to the fact that there are no casual restaurants open after 7:00 pm so your dining options are limited since two of the most popular ones are usually booked up. Units are luxurious! Views are amazing if you are standing up, would be better if the landscaping had lower growing plants. All of the staff were outstanding from the valet to the check-in to the wait staff. Jaime and Jose, at the Italian restaurant were the best ever!! We have already booked a return trip. ”

Loud pool noise from room

Loved the room and the amenities. Only issue was they gave us a noisy room near pool. When we asked for new room the front desk claimed none available but other staff told us hotel only half full. ”

Beautiful accommodations at Solaz!

Solaz is a new, safe and beautiful resort! I felt very safe, very taken care of and it was wonderfully relaxing! The staff was accommodating and very attentive. The resort was at around 30% capacity and felt like the right amount of people. We will for sure be back to Solaz every year! Don't miss this great Third Home trade.”

Lovely stay! Beautiful and new property. Modern, clean lines, spacious. Gracious staff and 3:1 staff to guest ratio. Timeshare folks are a bit aggressive - from check-in to room calls - but we survived without a new purchase!”

Hacienda del Mar

Solaz cancelled our reservation 5 days prior to arrival because of occupancy restrictions. They made accommodations at their sister resort, Hacienda del Mar. Hacienda del MAR was wonderful. Lovely suite, incredible view, excellent food, gracious staff. Highly recommended!”

Beautiful Resort - Special place! Amazing Stay!

What could you ever say wrong about Solaz! My wife and I spent 3 weeks at Solaz and everyday was amazing. The Staff is second to none, the food especially the Italian is amazing. Worked remotely till noon each day then down to the pool & beach! The 1 bedroom is perfect and the Market is just a short Uber ride away. ($5.00 usd) After a week at Diamante and then 3 weeks at Solaz we are try to figure out how to stay longer. Some reviews criticized the Timeshare presentation, Since we were here 3 weeks we did it the second day. Great breakfast and they could not beat the Thirdhome deal! This is truly a special place!”

Overbooked

We were called the Wednesday before our Saturday departure and told that Solaz was overbooked according to government regulations. We were given a villa in Hacienda Del Mar that included many perks such as full breakfast daily and 40% off food and beverages, etc. We took the offer and were extremely pleased with our stay in Hacienda Del Mar. We hope to try Solaz in the future.”

Stay away. not safe!

Out of our closed room our two mobile phones, IDs and credit cards have been stolen. Management was not very helpful in solving the issue. At check in you sign that for stolen things out of the room the guest is fully responsible. It seem that this was not a single case. Stay away!”

this exceeded our expectations on every way. The outdoor areas were marvelous. They were especially accommodating with our service dog who was a big hit. We dined in and enjoyed the kitchen and dined out and were pleasantly happy with the quality. Loved La Deriva their Northern Italian restaurant. Their Sushi restaurant was another stand out. We have already booked two additional weeks next month.”

We are enjoying three weeks at Solaz through THIRDHOME. It had been a wonderful experience exceeding our previous stay’s expectations! The resort has an updated pool menu and all of the restaurants have been outstanding. Meals we took at the hotel qualified for Marriott Bonvoy points on our Bonvoy App. We look forward to returning this coming October and November with our member weeks at Solaz.. Great facility, excellent staff, food, service, perfect location with a swimming beach. We highly recommend!!”

Exquisite property

We had an absolutely marvelous stay at the Solaz resort. This 34 acre complex is masterfully designed. The suites were elegantly apppointed. The views from every suite are simply amazing. The grounds maintenance was meticulous, and the service overall was excellent. There are 7 restaurants on the property, and we were particularly impressed with the Italian and Japanese restaurants. They were both world-class. We'd HIGHLY recommend this resort.”

Beautiful Property and Attentive Pool Staff

Beautiful architecture, well-appointed 2-bedroom with everything you need for a great stay. Gym is wonderful, spa good and a little expensive, food very good at the pool and great location. Staff at the pool are wonderful and attentive. They definitely push the timeshare presentation, which I didn't expect at all. Wondering if Thirdhome customers can be given a pass here. Concierge didn't seem very attentive or well informed. Happily made reservations on our own through Opentable after not receiving attentive service and missing a requested opportunity for whale watching. Expected the $15 / day resort fee; however, when we checked in we were told it was $16 and when pressed they explained the additional $1 'is voluntary' and goes to a Cabo charity which we agreed to. Overall great stay. Thirdhome, please consider negotiating to lose the timeshare push.”

Another Amazing Week at Solaz

We really can't say enough about how much we love Solaz. The modern architecture and integration with nature, swimmable beach and great food at on-site restaurants is unbeatable. The staff are sweet and seem happy to work there. For parents with a 7 and 10 year old, it's our most relaxing vacation because we feel comfortable letting this kids roam the resort by themselves to go to the game room, cafe or small onsite store. ”

Exceeded all expectations

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and were amazed at its size and amenities. Everything was so clean and hi-tech. We loved opening and closing the drapes with the push of a button! The jacuzzi on the lanai was awesome and the view was breathtaking. However, what really made Solaz really special was the staff! From pulling up to the reception area, checking in, having our luggage brought to our villa, the welcome drink, the daily maid service, the pool attendants, the beach setup, the restaurants we were pampered and treated as if we were celebrities. There are so many people to mentio.n. Amanecer, Ernesto, our maid (can't remember her name), all the restaurant staff, and even the gardeners and maintenance men who always acknowledged our presence we thank you for a wonderful week. Do not hesitate to visit Solaz! We can't wait to return.”
