Description

LUXURY ICELANDIC VILLA

This distinct four-bedroom villa provides a spectacular and unique location in Iceland, perfectly nestled on 4300 square feet among sprawling, rugged countryside. This modern, sleek architectural design contrasts beautifully with the beautiful scenery around you, offering luxury and elegance in the secluded Icelandic town of Mosfellsbaer.

The first things you’ll notice about this striking home, after the polished and contemporary design, are the expansive windows that stretch from wall to wall, offering sweeping views of the bay and countryside. Pristine hardwood floors stretch through the home, contrasting with the minimalistic, sleek, back and white décor. The main living room contains plush, comfortable seating surrounding an antique, wood-burning fireplace, creating a cozy spot where you can easily keep warm during the chilly nights.

Head upstairs to find the extremely large, gourmet kitchen, with state of the art Miele appliances all of the latest design, and perfect to help you whip up a meal with ease. The large island provides barstool seating, creating a spot to sip on your morning coffee, or watch the chef at work. A smaller, casual booth-style table sits just off this space under an intricate and unique light structure, and another elegant dining table sits facing sensational views of nature, and offers seating for fourteen. After dinner, combat the coolness of the night by heading out to the refreshing hot tub in the garden, and enjoy a delicious beverage.

After a day spent exploring the glorious natural wonders of the area, you’ll be dying to get back home and gently drift to sleep in one of four cozy bedrooms. In three bedrooms, you’ll find spectacular king-sized beds, while the last holds a lavish queen. All bed linens are lustrous and silky soft, providing you with the utmost comfort. Each of the three bathrooms is spacious and minimalistic in their gray design, offering ample space to primp and preen to your heart’s desire, as well as luxurious baths and showers that will rejuvenate and relax you.

Mosfellsbaer is a breathtaking, serene Icelandic town, just a short drive away from Reykjavik. With a culturally rich community and beautiful landscape, this area has a lot of offer to travelers. Make sure you hit all the iconic natural sites, such as Gullfoss Waterfall, Thingvellir National Park, or the Geysir geothermal area. In town, there are ample opportunities to explore the area in unique ways, such as by horseback and ATV. Unbeatable view and amenities

This house is very large, comfortably hosting 10+ people. But the luxury really comes from the expansive view of the pasture with horses and the sea inlet. Geothermal 'roman bath' and hot tub, plenty of showers. Ultra modern kitchen and laundry appliances, dinnerware enough to host a large group. Also several lounging areas, and a pool table. Some of the rooms have perfect blackout blinds (useful in the summer!). Good neighborhood with supermarkets, and close to Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. And a flexible host available on WhatsApp. Truly a gem! ”

AMAZING!

My family and I had the most marvelous time in Iceland all due to this FABULOUS architectural masterpiece that we stayed in. The appliances were all top-notch and plenty of everything - towels, dishes, space, water (we're from drought-ridden California), linens, silverware, and cookware. Superbly designed to capture the rugged beauty of Iceland from a warm beautiful home with enormous window walls that provided a memorable experience. We enjoyed the lovely Icelandic horses strolling by each day. Great house, great location, and a great host who was helpful and informative throughout our stay. THANK YOU!”

Beautiful house and a Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this very beautiful and spacious Villa. Pictures dont do it justice. It has an original modern architecture, large windows with great views. The kitchen is very well equipped with top notch appliances and a well stocked pantry. Rooms are not large and lack hangars but are quite confortable. As it was cold we ended up staying at home and cooked dinner every evening, (there is a great supermarket, an amazing fresh fish shop and a bakery just 5 minutes away) so spent most of the nights chatting at the cosy round table right by the kitchen. The house is located in a quiet residential area 20 minutes from Reykjavik, near the Golden circle route and the Pingvellir National Park, and one hour away from the Blue Lagoon which was an amazing experience. And Yes we were lucky and saw the Northern Lights, although the level activity was low, 2. The majority of the houses in Iceland use geothermal energy for the heating and naturally hot tap water has a sulfur odor that might shock at first (you sense it as soon as you enter the door) but as it does not stay on your skin, you will get used to it. The owner, Herdis was very nice and available to help but everything in Iceland is quite well organised which made our visit very smooth. We loved our stay, the Villa, the People, the Landscape and cant wait to come back in Spring. Thank you for sharing your home.”
