August 2023Unbeatable view and amenities
This house is very large, comfortably hosting 10+ people. But the luxury really comes from the expansive view of the pasture with horses and the sea inlet. Geothermal 'roman bath' and hot tub, plenty of showers. Ultra modern kitchen and laundry appliances, dinnerware enough to host a large group. Also several lounging areas, and a pool table. Some of the rooms have perfect blackout blinds (useful in the summer!). Good neighborhood with supermarkets, and close to Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. And a flexible host available on WhatsApp. Truly a gem! ”

October 2022AMAZING!
My family and I had the most marvelous time in Iceland all due to this FABULOUS architectural masterpiece that we stayed in. The appliances were all top-notch and plenty of everything - towels, dishes, space, water (we're from drought-ridden California), linens, silverware, and cookware. Superbly designed to capture the rugged beauty of Iceland from a warm beautiful home with enormous window walls that provided a memorable experience. We enjoyed the lovely Icelandic horses strolling by each day. Great house, great location, and a great host who was helpful and informative throughout our stay. THANK YOU!”

January 2020Beautiful house and a Wonderful experience
We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this very beautiful and spacious Villa. Pictures dont do it justice. It has an original modern architecture, large windows with great views. The kitchen is very well equipped with top notch appliances and a well stocked pantry. Rooms are not large and lack hangars but are quite confortable. As it was cold we ended up staying at home and cooked dinner every evening, (there is a great supermarket, an amazing fresh fish shop and a bakery just 5 minutes away) so spent most of the nights chatting at the cosy round table right by the kitchen. The house is located in a quiet residential area 20 minutes from Reykjavik, near the Golden circle route and the Pingvellir National Park, and one hour away from the Blue Lagoon which was an amazing experience. And Yes we were lucky and saw the Northern Lights, although the level activity was low, 2. The majority of the houses in Iceland use geothermal energy for the heating and naturally hot tap water has a sulfur odor that might shock at first (you sense it as soon as you enter the door) but as it does not stay on your skin, you will get used to it. The owner, Herdis was very nice and available to help but everything in Iceland is quite well organised which made our visit very smooth. We loved our stay, the Villa, the People, the Landscape and cant wait to come back in Spring. Thank you for sharing your home.”
