Bluesky Brechenridge
This beautiful three bedroom, two bathroom, 1,600 square foot condo is in the heart of Breckenridge. We choose Breckenridge over the many other resorts we visited over the years for many reasons. We love the town and being able to walk to main street summer or winter.
The ski mountain has 6 or 7 peaks, offers the verticle slope at the top and the wide open meadows of snow on the lower half. The drive is only 1 1/2 hours from Denver and it's a straight shot from the airport. I70 West, exit 203 on to Rt. 9 South and you're there. It's a great ski town and we are very happy with the choice to purchase in Bluesky.
Bluesky, a Resort Company property is very well maintained and looks brand new. The decorator from Tampa Florida did an amazing job on the building and in our unit. There are unique lighting fixtures, scupltures and pieces of art everywhere. The living room offers plenty of seating for everyone. The kitchen has granite countertops, new refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, and a double sink.
The master bedroom has a king size bed that is a great place to unwind after a long day on the slopes. The master bathroom has a nice shower, and double vanities. The guest bedrooms offer a queen bed and bunk beds that share a bathroom area.
The balcony is a great place to enjoy that outdoor space from the condo. On the balcony is a table where you could sit and enjoy some morning coffee or hot cocoa.
As far as the convenience, this was a major factor in our purchase. The Spa, ski rentals, locker room, ticket office and chair lift are right downstairs. You can have a private chef cook for you or cook a great meal, do puzzles and play games.
The building only has 52 units so it's rarely crowded anywhere and the chair lift pretty much services the condo's who can walk to it from surrounding condos as there is no parking. If you need to take the kids to ski school you can either take the free shuttle or free bus service. Our boys had some skiing experience so we would take the chair up and ski to ski school. Then ski home of course. There are two ways to get back, either ski around the reservior or down Four O' clock run. If you like to snow shoe they have those too in the rental shop.
If you like to go sledding, ask concierge at the front desk for sleds and where to go. They are free and so is sledding in Carter Park! There is fun everywhere you look. You will have a fantastic stay during any of the season!
