Deep in the heart of Laikipia, one of Kenya’s most spectacular game viewing areas, high in the champagne air of the slopes of Mount Kenya, Tapendoi Farm nestles on the border of the 50,000 acre Lolldaiga Ranch, with no fence between them and the conservation area. It has magnificent views of the riverine forest, the Lolldaiga hills and it's abundance of wildlife.

Exceptionally spacious and light-filled, Tapendoi Farm is encircled by a huge wooden floored veranda, whose elegant French doors open onto a generous sized open plan living/dining reception room, beautiful kitchen and two bedrooms.

You can sip your tea or coffee (delivered to your room) in the morning watching the colobus monkeys swinging in the trees and eagles swooping by. At night you can enjoy a sundowner by the fire on the veranda and listen to the sounds of the African night.

The house and the safari guest tented rooms are approximately 5,000 square feet and there are four (4) bedrooms. One with a King size bed, two with queen size beds and one twin room. All with their own bathrooms. One of the guest rooms has a much smaller shower room across the court yard, but there is a door accessed to the master bathroom as well.

A short walk away are two luxury safari tent guest rooms built with permanent en-suite bathrooms attached on the back. N.B. There are a set of steps down to the tents, so this may not be suitable for guests with walking problems.

Both tents are spacious enough to fit cots and single beds for small children, wishing to share with their parents. The tents are as comfortable as the rooms in the house with stunning views and privacy.

The house is is run by solar and is completely off the grid. Enjoy the delicious organic salad and vegetables grown in the garden.

There is plenty to do around the Farm, and Daisy the owner can organise your entrance fee into the Lolldaiga
 ranch and other surrounding conservation areas, please pre-arrange with her when booking. Tapendoi is within easy driving distance of many conservation areas, including Lewa, Borana, Mount Kenya, Ol Pejata and El Karama, so there is never a shortage of things to do whilst staying at Tapendoi.
