Smack downtown on the scenic and loved pedestrian street of Skolavordustigur (The Rainbow Road), you and your crew can enjoy immediate access to all the excitement Downtown Reykjavik has to offer, including shops, restaurants, bars, and Hallgrímskirkja Church, the modern cathedral that is a true work of art.

This penthouse (5th and 6th floor) apartment has an elevator, but the unit does have a spiral staircase that leads up to the bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is an entrance hall, an adjoining living room, a well-equipped kitchen, a guest bathroom, and a spacious balcony with beautiful views.

From the living room are views to the north of Esja, the gorgeous mountain range, and the captivating channel. In contrast, the large tiled balcony off the dining room offers views of the city, the ocean, and Reykjanes, the area characterized by lava fields, volcanoes, and heightened geothermal activity.

The upper floor features 2 guest bedrooms, and a bathroom with a washer and dryer unit.

Reykjavik is a small city and is walkable to almost everything, but taxis and scooters are readily available for those hoping to explore the charming nearby villages and landmarks. Some exciting nearby excursions include seeing this gorgeous waterfront Sun Voyager, a sculpture by Jón Gunnar Árnason, or the Perlan, a futuristic revolving glass-domed restaurant and cocktail bar in a park setting.

More excitement located nearby includes Nauthólsvík Geothermal Beach, Blue Lagoon (Geothermal spa), and plenty of museums, including the National Museum of Iceland, Árbær Open Air Museum, Whales of Iceland, and more!

**GOOD TO KNOW**
Bedrooms have blackout curtains but the couch downstairs will not be completely dark as there is a skylight in that room. We do have sleeping masks in the unit. No one has complained so far. I just wanted to let you know so you could make an informed decision if the unit is right for you.
