October 2018Beautiful home and amazing views.
We had a fantastic and relaxing week stay at this villa overlooking the Dead Sea. We were at the house during a very large storm and did experience a few issues with water, electricity, and internet. Fortunately, the very friendly caretaker addressed them quickly. The owner was also easily available and sent his driver to meet us at 2 a.m. at the airport. As the designer and manager of our own vacation home on a Caribbean Island with power and water issues and in a very harsh environment we appreciated how well this house is cared for and how quickly the issues were addressed. The location was a great base for exploring Jordan - we went as far north as Umm Quai on a day trip. Jerash is unforgettable. The day trip to Madaba was easy and very interesting. We swam in the Dead Sea two different days and ate at the mall below often as well as cooked at the house a few times. We loved Jordan and loved coming home to the views and comfort of this property. ”

October 2018Lovely Views...
Pro’s: Absolutely amazing grounds which are beautifully landscaped and accompanied by a lovely private pool. The grounds and the pool are well tended to by the gardener who lives in the house just down the hill. The house is stunning – so very beautiful inside and out. The stone work is fantastic. I loved that the owner provided simple things like lots of bottled water, spices, teas, etc. Greatly appreciated the owner had a car pick us up from the airport. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. The area is just amazing to tour. You really must tour these areas, each deserves 1 day: Petra The Citadel and downtown Ammon Jerash Umm Ar-Rasas Mövenpick Resort & Spa – purchase a day pass and spend the afternoon floating in the dead sea, covering your body with the mud and enjoying the pool area afterwards. The people are so wonderful – they are there to help and are all very good. There is a mall with restaurants down the street (15 minute walk away). It is also a great place to get a driver or catch an Uber. Con’s: The huge/lovely master bedroom has next to no light after the sun goes down. Just simple colored lamps – one on each side of the bed. The overhead lights in the master bedroom did not work – it appeared they had no power to them. There were very few outlets throughout, but this may be due to the type of construction. No hair dryer was provided. The electricity went out for several hours while sleeping for 2 consecutive nights during our week-long stay. When the electricity went off, so did the AC. So not only did we get hot, but we could hear the wild dogs barking all night. This made for two nights of little sleep. After our 6th day, the water ran out during our first morning shower. Gardener was able to rectify the problem later that morning. The master bedroom had two shams that were used as pillows. One was a memory foam, the other a very poor pillow. Bedding was far from deluxe, but not unusual given our location. The washing machine was located near the pool (a bit far from the house). It was not electrically grounded, so you were shocked each time you touched the metal inside the machine, or you touched your wet cloths. There was no dryer (not a big deal) or dishwasher (a bigger deal, but not unusual for the middle east). Very expensive – it cost 6 keys and $795 to reserve. It listed several amenities that were not there: Staffed Guard Gate Dryer Outdoor grill Had to have a driver take you most everywhere. It was generally about $100/day for the driver and gas.”

May 2018Amazing Experience - GO!!!
I cannot say enough about this beautiful property and travel experience! If you are even considering going to Jordan, DO IT! The people are just wonderful, country is beautiful and very safe. This home is in a very high end hotel community (but is a separate house overlooking it all - the very best spot in the area) so you have no need to feel uncomfortable with the unknown. Not to mention there is a staff at the house who are all incredibly friendly and helpful, The owner helped a lot with planning. We visited Petra and Jerusalem and had this as our home base. The views and scenery are truly unbelievable. We did not have any kids with us but I felt it was a very kid friendly destination as well. DO IT, DO IT! Thank you!!!”
